How I help My clients:
Research and public policy - Sound public policy provides three things: awareness, direction, and action. I work with organizations to develop policies based on sound research, regulatory compliance, and analyses. My public policy experience includes the financial, STEM, government, and other industries. I am comfortable developing and preparing both short and long documents, reports, and white papers to communicate complex policies to specialized audiences and laymen alike.
Project and Program development - I am an "A to Z" manager capable of building projects and programs from the ground up. This includes conceptual planning, budgeting, manpower allocation, contractors, milestones, accountability measures, and performance management. I help organizations choose and establish the right tools and technologies to implement these projects including web and cloud-based systems, digital media, databases, and more.
Economic Development - I work with governments, professional associations, and small businesses to collaborate and create value on the local and regional level. This involves conducting impact studies; establishing multi-stakeholder plans in cities and small communities; securing investment, funding, grants, and in-kind resources; and creating the processes and mechanisms necessary to operationalize economic plans at all levels.
Professional & Workforce Development - The future of our society – its ability to solve its problems, make progress, and prosper – is based on human capital. Many of the programs I've built have been to educate and train professionals and workforces. Often this involves using state-of-the-art digital technology to bring knowledge and instruction to users all around the world. I have managed partnerships between universities and governments to bring valuable research assets to the business community on a state level. This also includes working with experts to create engaging content and other educational resources for deployment.
Institutional Partnerships - Organizations come together to make great achievements because of people – their enthusiasm, their ability to communicate an irresistible vision, and their determination to figure out every step of an endeavor. This spirit of collaboration has always been the driving force of my professional work. Getting businesses and organizations to work together is no small task: it requires communicating a clear mission (and accountability for it); establishing boards, committees, and task forces; and setting up a resource-sharing system to put ideas into action. I have worked with governments, organizations, and businesses on a global level (including large NGOs such as the United Nations, World Bank, IMF, and the European Commission). I have successfully managed the cooperation of different cultures, regulatory regimes, and academic interests.
Management of Governance - I have worked closely with institutions and multiple stakeholders to set up and manage boards, committees, and task forces. This involves developing due process, bylaws, agendas, MoUs, transparency measures (public reporting and operational performance), and other official documents setting forth procedures to work in an orderly, efficient manner. In addition, I have worked with organizations to develop professional standards for ethics and sustainability in their operations and services.
